My Artist Statement

I am an abstract artist and painter. I have a love for color, both light and dark, and always strive to be uniquely myself, and to inspire others to do the same. I use various tools and materials to create movement and texture in my pieces. I use paint scrapers, pour methods, and my hands, along with acrylic, latex, spray paint, and enamel paints. Im inspired by feelings, both of the like and dark varieties, (like my colors). I let them guide me. I have learned over years of painting to embrace my mistakes, not try to fix them or cover them up. Sometimes a splatter of the wrong color or an accidental finger print is what makes a piece complete. I am known for a paint splatter on nearly everything, a little reminder that mistakes and spills can be just as awesome, just as special and memorable, as something planned or technical. I have a good mother who raised me to never doubt myself, never doubt who I am or what I do, and especially to never be bothered by what other people think. My goal is to inspire others to think, feel, and create this same way; to love and have pride in what they do with no fear of judgement. Dark, mistaken and messy, but still beautiful. Its how I dream of the world and how I create.
